Our next meeting will be Tuesday November 19 at 1 pm in
Rollins Research Center 4052. The paper is a recent one by Michelle
Smith, who last week gave a great talk at Emory about genetics concepts
and teaching. The title of her paper is “Using the genetics concept
assessment to document persistent conceptual difficulties in undergraduate
genetics courses”. They study persistent student misconceptions and give
advice about how teachers might address such misconceptions.
